Day 2 – Trans-Canada Trail
8 May
Today was run almost exclusively on the old railway line that used to house the Newfie Bullet. Mike ran with me for the first 20km, along the water, around smokestacks and ending with a bullet ridden harbour seal.
Still trying to iron out some of the kinks. Starting to get the hang of things although we still managed to run out of water, had to settle for hot dogs for lunch, and my face managed to get sunburnt despite all the fog.
Sarah ran the entire second 20km up and down the steep Newfie hills despite not having run in months. Incredible. About halfway through Newfoundland with 80km done and just 70km left to go before we head to Nova Scotia!
