Day 3 – Trans Canada Hwy

9 May

Started up again on the trans-canada trail, but only for about 2km. In that short time though we came across two school buses which looked abandoned but on closer inspection must actually be someone's house. The tell-tail sign.....each one had a yellow Census form hanging from the door handle!

Most of the day was spent running along the trans-canada hwy. A mixed blessing. Big shoulders, flatter even footing and a straighter course but lots of trucks whizzing by! Made it about half way down route 100 to Argentia. Mike ran the last 8km with me which was great because my legs were getting sore and he was a great motivator.

Only 28km left until the site of the ferry to Nova Scotia. Tomorrow we finish Newfoundland!
