Step into action Launch
6 May
So I've finally made it to Cape Spear Newfoundland, the start of the Step Into Action Run. It's been a long road getting here but the journey is just getting started.
My name is Dr Riley Senft and I'm running across Canada to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer. 1 in 6 Canadian men will develop prostate cancer and 1 in 34 will die from it. This doesn't need to be the case as caught early in stage one, over 90% of prostate cancer can be cured. I'm running for my father, who is battling prostate cancer for the second time in five years, and for my grandfather who recently died of the disease. I'm also running for my brother and myself, because given our family history, it is very likely that one or both of us will be affected.
